Come Play For The Cure
07/20/2025
We may not have walked away with the win yesterday, but we walked away with something just as important—a collection of tiny victories, both as a team and as individuals.
What many don’t realize about youth sports is that learning to lose before you win makes that eventual victory even sweeter. You become a true winner not just through the scoreboard, but through the effort, the resilience, and the bounce-back.
Yesterday, each of you showed that. Just stepping onto that field, growing through every play, and pushing forward with heart—that’s a win.
One of the umpires we’ve known for years said something powerful: “Something’s fixing to turn up.” He saw the same spark in this team that he saw in our older girls—before they became the ones to beat. And we believe him.
We may not win tomorrow. Or next week. Or even next month. But know this: the work is being put in. The growth is happening. The hunger is there. And that makes all the difference.
Beware of the Venom bite. It’s coming.

Another great weekend of softball for the 6u SA Venom girls 🐍. This group of girls continue to show growth. Saying we are very proud of them is not enough. The hard work they put every practice and outside of practice shows that every time we step out on the field.
Over the weekend, our girls, along with some help from the Lady Flying Chanqlitas came out to battle the heat and some great competition. They battled until the very end for the championship game, facing an amazing team, Lady Sharks 🦈, coming out in 🥈.
Thank you to our friends, LFC for the help and for the parents cheering on all the girls.
Thank you Venom parents for trusting the process and supporting the girls with practicing outside of practice and for setting up a camp for the girls to bond.
Now back to putting in work to prepare for our next league games and tournaments.

Venom 6u Black 🔥🔥

This weekend our little 6u SA Venom Black showed everyone that hard work, patience, and consistency can make a difference. First off, I want to congratulate the girls for showing up and playing lights out. Second, I want to thank the parents for trusting the process and giving us coaches the chance to work and get this girls ready for the next level. Each step of the way has been hard and we have had our shares of losses but that just makes us stronger. The girls are starting to understand the game. We saw some awesome plays and their willingness to leave everything out on the field showed up. Very proud of them and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this group of girls. Work hard, play hard!!!

This weekend at Battle for the Hive our 6u Venom teams did amazing. We are very proud of their accomplishments. Our Venom Black girls made it to the Gold bracket and won their first bracket game demonstrating skill and drive against the Texas Blue bonnets. In the second bracket game against Prospects 2k17 they fought hard and had some great hits. They fell short and didn’t make it to the ship.
The Venom 2K18 made it to the sliver bracket championship. They fought hard and lost in extra innings to the Tx Thunder sticks. These girls have so much heart and no quit.
Congrats to all the girls and parents.
