Ready to elevate your game? LET’S GO!
We will be elevating our schedule to compete in a number of college showcases and prominent National level events. Expectations are clearly laid out and athlete accountability is a must. Playing time is earned based on practice and game time performance. Our athletes come from all over STX and CTX. Our athletes are prepared to play at the next level (HS and/or College). In addition to our coaching staff of former college players and coaches we have a player development team set for special practices and skill sets.
Come check out our open practice Thursday night 6:15-8:45 at St Thomas More 4411 Moana Dr.

When your coach is as involved with dog rescue as she is softball, the two are bound to collide at some point!
Today is a bitter sweet day for 3 of our families. Five weeks ago (a couple weeks longer than normal), they graciously agreed to open their homes and hearts to a Labrador Retriever to get them out of a shelter and on their way to a great home. Fostering is not always easy (you never know a dogs past and the shuffle from previous life, to shelter, to foster can be challenging)but it’s always rewarding! Tomorrow the pups all head off to Colorado with adopters waiting to welcome them into their homes forever!
I’m proud and thankful for the families that jumped into fostering. Way to many amazing dogs in TX are euthanized daily at no fault of their own. When you foster one, you really save two by opening up the shelter space.
June Bug, Dexter, Cleo and River have a great life. And to the Palombo’s, Kitchin’s and Galindo/Reyes families...thank you!
Fosters are always needed so if your interested let me know!

This weekends "Unsung Hero" recognition is going to the two at the top of the line up (now your gonna get it!) Mercedes Flores and Megan Salazar showed everyone this weekend just how lethal speed can be. Both relatively new to the left side, these two ladies each hit .667 and had a combine OBP of .690, tied each other for team lead in hits and quality at bats, and accounted for 85% of the teams run production on the weekend!!
The transition to the left side is not easy, mentally or physically. It takes reading the field to a whole new level. For a while, it takes away the "reality" of hitting the illustrious and celebrated home run (these two will get there.) If you love excitement, you love the slap, the short game, the placement, the precision. It's an art. It can crack the most polished defenses. Cedes and Meg, who are arguably more hard on themselves than most I have ever coached, made things happen this weekend and it was fun to watch!
So tonight is officially SLAPPER SUNDAY and we celebrate you two!! Keep working ladies.

After each tournament this season we will be naming an “Unsung Hero” for the weekend. This athlete will be chosen by the coaching staff based on many factors.
We are excited to announce our first “Unsung Hero” of 2021; Leila Reyes! Leila is still relatively new to the team and we’ve seen so much improvement based on how she approaches everything. That showed up big time this weekend.
She was positive the whole weekend, had some missteps in the outfield but kept her head in the game, rallied herself and made some big plays! She was up and cheering on her teammates, being a good teammate all weekend long!
Along with the intangibles mentioned above she also had a great weekend at the plate hitting .500 and collecting 3 walks!
Keep that head down and keep working young lady, the future is bright!

Tuesday Tips!
Today Bradleigh shows us excellent ex*****on on hitting a change up. She says the key is sit back, wait, and then drive the life out of it. Do all of that properly and you will know immediately that it’s out of here!

Felt SO good to be back on the field to compete this weekend! A bit of time off for the holidays, followed by 6-weeks of double session weekends practices that challenged and drained them each time, these ladies earned the privilege to play this weekend. No championship rings brought home, but this coach will take the lessons learned both on and off the field as we start this season off.
