Try this finisher at the end of your next leg day 🙌🏾
Bulgarian Split Squats are an amazing additional at the end of any leg day. This exercise not only allows you to overload the quad but also gives it a really good stretch. One of the biggest areas of improvement while lifting weights in my opinion is making sure we get the needed stretch to the muscle while staying safe. 🔥🔥
Perform this movement with your head and chest held up to get the stretch needed. No need to go heavy here. Pick a weight that is challenging but comfortable for you. Make the reps more meaningful by pausing at the bottom for 2 -3 seconds. 💪🏾💪🏾

The question all clients ask. What burns more calories between lifting and cardio? 🙋🏾♂️ 🤔
Let’s start with weight lifting. Although weight lifting is great for toning and building muscle you burn far less calories lifting weights than you would doing cardio. 💪🏾
Now let’s speak on cardio. Cardio is very important for your overall health and well being but can be limited in the number of calories you actually burn. It will depend on the type ( intense or moderate) if your in shape or at a good body fat percentage etc. So although we all should have some designated time for cardio sessions every week this is by far where must people over do it.
The answer is actually outside of the gym. Your NEAT (NON EXERCISE ACTIVITY THERMOGENESES) is what calories you burn at rest. Most people go entirely too hard in the gym and are wiped out the rest of the day. This dramatically effects your NEAT and will minimize how much calories you burn for the rest of the day. My rule of thumb is to work your way up to 10-12k steps a day outside of the gym to increase your NEAT and keep those calories burning 🔥 🙌🏾
