Hey everyone, I wanted to make an announcement about the upcoming 21st Annual Bart O.

First of all, I’d like to apologize about not keeping everyone updated sooner, I was waiting until we had something more concrete and honestly, there’s been a lot of uncertainty.

With that in mind, I want you to know that we are committed to making this tournament happen - and it WILL be happening. However, we do have a bit of a problem right now: where to host this thing. Austin is an expensive city, Buffalo Billiards has closed down and decent Austin hotels are pretty much out of reach with our budget. We did have a good venue lined up for October, but as we got closer and tried to get everything confirmed, things unfortunately fell apart - through no fault of ours. So now we are having to make renewed efforts for finding a venue. Hopefully in Austin, but potentially in another more affordable city nearby. Assuming we make reasonable progress, our new target date for the tournament is in Q1 2023.

Aside from the venue we have everything worked out: the team, the tables, the software - we are prepared and ready to go! You can expect the same great experience as years past, and we also have some really great new ideas for some of the events and formats which we're excited to share with you all in future.

One thing Joe was really disappointed about the last few years was that we didn't have the funding to do shirts, it was one of his favorite things and very important to him. Thanks to player donations and sponsors we're bringing them back for this special year!
