Wizards Basketball Organization

Just want to express how proud I am of this young man. From the time that i met him I knew he had potential. I was so hard him when he joined my team, but I knew he could be a leader. Im so proud of you Mark de la Rosa. I know you are going to do great things in the Military. Embrace this knew journey and prepare to work hard. So proud of you son and just know that I love you.

JUST WANTED TO MENTION HOW EXCITED I WAS TO PUT MY VARSITY TEAM BACK ON THE COURT THIS PAST WEEKEND. SEEMS LIKE ITS BEEN FOREVER AND EVEN HAD THAT NERVOUS FEELING IN MY STOMACH BEFORE THE FIRST GAME. WE HAVE GREAT GROUP OF BOYS WILLING TO PUT IN THE WORK. WENT 1-2, BUT I REALLY DIDN'T CARE. THIS SEASON WILL BE ABOUT THE PROCESS AND GETTING TO THE PRODUCT!!! EVERYBODY WANTS THE PRODUCT, BUT DOESN'T WANT TO GO THRU THE PROCESS. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS UPSETTING WAS STILL HEARING PARENTS TALKING MESS TO THE BOYS ABOUT WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE PASS. WE HAD A PARENT FROM THE SAINTS TALKING MESS AND ONE FROM THE SA HOOPERS THAT KEEP OUR NAME OUT OF THEIR MOUTH!!!! TIME TO MOVE ON FROM THAT NONSENSE... I AM EXCITED FOR THE FUTURE OF THE WIZARDS ORG.

This is what happens when a lot of people turn there back on you and say you can't do it anymore. I continue to Do Me and grind and stick with the program. These boys showed up so that we can show out. Wizards Nation is still strong and we will continue to put in work. Thank you to the boys and parents who have stuck by our side and believe in what we are doing. Today was a good day at practice.

What is up Wizards family and friends... I don't know exactly where to start, but obviously a lot of you know what is going on due to social media and the news. The interview I did was about 20 minutes long, but they chose to air some very small parts of what I said and this has been blown way out of context. Some people feel like I am ok with what happened, but I am truly upset and embarrassed about the whole situation. We do not coach, teach, or condone that kind of behavior and as his parent we have the same thoughts. The video shows a very small portion of what happen. There where things that lead up to that final situation. I expressed to the reporter my deepest concern for the young man that was injured and even offered to meet with the parents. NO BODY WINS in this situation and everybody loses that was involved. I know everybody is quick to throw judgment and pick sides but I honestly don't care what people have to say about me. People are calling these young men punks, ghetto, thugs..etc.etc. and those things are what really upset me. The Director of Excel Tournaments Nick Plunkit and the facility Mission Concepcion Sports Park have a lot to be blame for as well and not to mention the officials for that game. Mission Concepcion Sports Park released this video to the media for what reason. This facility had well over 300 guest in the building and one officer and was way under staffed. Nick the director of the tournament had a young man maybe 19 or 20 years of age in charge of this part of the Tournament. Right before this incident took place I address the officials in regards to that kid playing dirty and throwing elbows, and the official told "Coach.. You Coach and I Ref." Not even 2 minutes later we have a fight. So you tell me how to deal with that. I love what I do and I love being around these kids and seeing them grow. All my time is volunteered and I don't see a dime for what I do, but I love it. You directors and Coaches who want to try and call me out and single me and my organization out are a bunch of two face group of people. I will keep my faith up and walk with my head up high and do what I do. I love my Wizards family and I appreciate all the support. We will continue to pray for the young man who was injured and for my son who was injured as well.

So happy for my Little Wizards. Got there New Uniforms in. Thank to Cire J. Yellat for doing a great job on my order and being patient with me. Thank you to Henry Ramos Jr. For setting me up on the right direction. Special thank you to Coach Juan Antonio Rodriguez and his parents for all the hard work and support and being patient.

Had a good tournament yesterday. Came out 1-2. Our two losses where 3 points or less. Hardest thing to deal with right now is being inconsistent on the court. We talked a lot about maturity and holding each other accountable. These JV boys have the skills on the court, but lack mental toughness at times.
Back at it today in the gym, time to put in some work.

After a big weekend the boys where back to work and working hard. These boys are willing to put in the hard work to get where they want to be.

Great weekend with the boys in Pharr Texas. Shot out to Raymond Rodela for having us part of the Original Uniform tournament. Started off pretty sluggish against a great team we played before in South Padre, but came out on top. Second team was a team from Mexico who only had six players but was a very tough team to beat. Third team was the Out Lawz and honestly Raymond I underestimated your group and for that I apologize. Last team was from Corpus who worked hard but from what I understand we came away with a lucky 10 point win. Respect is taking your losses like a man and shaking the other teams hand including the coach. If you had questions you should have protested before the game not when you figured out you where getting ready to lose the game. My binder of paper work would have shut down any of those concerns. We belong in JV level but at times play varsity. Our reputation speaks for it self here in San Antonio. A great coaching word of advice a "Don't make excuses for your kids to feed off." On the bright side the trip was fun and we talked to the boys about handling this like a business trip and they did. WE TOOK CARE OF BUSINESS... TOOK first place and Won some uniforms.

What a great weekend for the Wizards Organization. A very busy weekend for some of the boys. 6th grade Wizards played Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday they came in Second place and Saturday with a hard, grinding game for the championship came home with the Trophy. 4th grade Wizards where in action this week and played there little butts off. Jv boys played in the 3rd Varsity tournament and won 1 and lost 2. We are working hard to get where we need to be. Shot out to all the boys for working so hard this weekend. A great big shot out to all the parents for you continued support and dedication to the Wizards Organization.
