This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting and donating a Flag of Our Fallen-Colorado to Carla Sizer in honor of her son, SPC Dane Balcon of Colorado Springs, Colo.; assigned to the 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; who died Sept. 5, 2007 in Balad, Iraq, of wounds sustained from an improvised explosive device. He was 19 years old.
Always remember our fallen heroes and the sacrifices they made fighting to preserve our freedom.

On 9 June we were able to donate a flag to the family of TSgt Michael P. Flores during a building dedication Ceremony. The 342d Training Squadron, dedicated Building 242, Medina Training Annex, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, in Honor and Memory of the sacrifice the Pararescueman made for his country.
