My Name is Captain Andy Hernandez. I am a Veteran of the USAF and a retired San Antonio Police Sgt. and fishing guide in Rockport, Texas.

Chasin' Tails Guide Service is a full time professional fishing guide service located in Rockport Texas. I strive to provide fishing memories and a great time in the great outdoors on the Middle Texas Gulf Coast.

We have returned from an amazing trip to Portugal, Spain, the Canary Islands of Lanzarote and Tenerife. I was so fortunate to visit the ancestral home of the 8th great grandfather, Maciot De Betancourt in the village of Teguise where my 6th great grandmother Maria Robina De Bethencourt was born. In 1730 here along with 15 other families came to San Antonio and established the government in San Fernando de Bejar. We also found a festival in Tenerife called May fest! Fransico Delgado, the Teguise chronista gifted me a book, which i have just started. Unbelievable history!!

, a master of his craft, continues to impress! His dedication to strive for perfection is unreal. He created a wonderful space, remodeling our 16 year old deck. We are waiting on post cap lights, and some stair lighting and stain. He is an awesome contractor and great friend! Thank you buddy for all you do! You Rock. We had an amazing day on the Minho and Lima rivers near Moncao, Portugal. Antonio with was great! He did a wonderful job guiding Lisa an me! Sea run brow trout and wild brown trout on 5wts are off the chain! Thank you again Antonio for a wonderful day.

We made a special visit to the Town of Teguise In Lanzarote, Canary Islands. I had the extreme pleasure to meet Fransico (Paco) Delgado. He is the historian for Lanzarote. We shared information and he added much of my family to the tree he had for Lanzarote, all the way to my daughter Samantha. My 6th Great Grand mother was one of the 16 families who founded the government in San Antonio in 1731. I also was able to find my 8th great grandfathers home. Maciot De betancourt. What an eye opening experience!

Last day in Madrid! Enjoyed a beautiful sunny day. We found a small pod of carp! Lol opted for a churro and chocolate instead!! Headed to Lanzarote Canary Islands!!

Lisa and I had the pleasure of fishing with Angel from https://spainflyfishingguides.com. We had a glorious day fishing on the Rio Obrigo, euro nymphing and dry flies were both bringing trout to the net! Fly fishing in spain is amazing!
