Robert Hundley has spent his entire life hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. He has been to South Africa hunting four times.
Hunting, fly fishing and bait casting trips and tips, photography, rifle, s***t, shotgun and pistol training, outdoor excursions, all taught by the professional, Robert Hundley Jr. As a young boy he spent summers fishing and hunting with his grandfather, Robert Heath, and developed a love for anything and everything 'hunting' and outdoors. Hunting and outdoor sports run so deeply in his family tha
t his 100 year old mother (Robert Heath's daughter, Roberta, is excited to shoot her annual whitetail this year! Everyone who has ever spent more than five minutes with Robert has picked up on what 'makes him tick', as they say. Robert has traveled to so many places, and been on so many different 'adventures', that it is often said about him that "He has lived more than a lifetime already!"
He was a Champion S***t Shooter in the AA classification for all four major shotgun loads in his younger years. He has used nearly every type of rifle, shotgun, and pistol, and he hand-loads most of his own ammunition. His hunting experiences have included trips to the Carmen Mountains in Old Mexico where he hunted black bear and white-tailed deer along with white-wing dove. Through a lifetime hunting in America it is difficult to name a species he has not bagged, on multiple occasions. From Russian boar to white-tailed deer, dove, quail, ducks and turkeys in South Texas, to mule deer and white-tailed deer in West Texas. In the Rocky Mountains of Montana, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Colorado, he has killed trophy mule deer and elk. In South Africa, Robert collected at least one member from each of the 'Plains' species of animals (approximately 20 different species). Robert has fly fished in Blue Ribbon water for rainbow and cut-throat trout. Rivers he has fished range from the San Juan and Animas Rivers of New Mexico, to the Big Horn River in Montana, and from the Snake, Platte and Hoback Rivers of Wyoming to the Green River of Utah. Off-Shore he has enjoyed catching Tuna, Wahoo, Dolphin and Marlin. As a natural progression of his love for the outdoors, photography became a favorite past-time for Robert in the early 1970's, and he quickly became an accomplished photographer. He has photographed wildlife and scenery in the Big Bend area of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, the New England Seaboard, South Africa, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Hawaii and across Europe. His subject matter ranges from majestic wildlife to stunning scenic vistas, from colorful flowers to brilliant butterflies. He does most of his current work with digital cameras from Canon and Nikon, and in the past with the “older” Leica 35 mm cameras. Robert has three children, two step-children, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family, and being a spectator for his grandchildren in their various activities, whether it involves a high school football game, a marching band, soccer games, church on Sundays, or fishing and hunting. Robert brings a lifetime of learning and practical advice to numerous different outdoor activities, and Eagle Eye Outdoor Consulting exists to share that knowledge, to teach and pass on those tips and tricks to others. We hope that you will enjoy getting to know the owner and founder, and will find him to be an unforgettable person, like so many others have, in an interesting, adventure-filled lifetime!
