NYSY Yoga Teacher Trainings

n Yoga’s history and philosophy from the Ancient Vedas to the Modern Yoga Schools of our times. The practice leads us into a deep understanding of our bodies. Through the Anusara Principles of Alignment we learn to move in a safe and dynamic way through a wide variety of asanas, while pranayama and meditation take us to a deeper level of inner knowledge. In a supportive environment we grow as a friendly and creative team, nurturing a softer heart, a more vibrant dynamic body, and a sharp mind, thus developing all essential aspects of ourselves. This program lays the foundation of Yoga Theory and Practice, and gives you the very first tools for expanding from a strong practice into teaching. The program includes:

1. Anusara® Immersions 1-3 100 hours
2. Yoga History, Philοsophy 20 hours
3. Αnatomy for Yoga: 20 hours
4. Practice, Observation & Assistance: 30 hours
5. Yogic-Life Retreat, and/or Anusara Teacher Training: 30+ hours
When you graduate you will be able to start teaching Yoga to friends and small groups, but you will still be “in training”, maintaining contact with your teachers who will be there to guide and consult you in your first teaching steps.


300 HOUR NYSY YOGA TEACHERS DIPLOMA: The Art of Teaching

Having completed your 200 hour studies, you continue with 100 hours of Teacher Training focusing on the “Art of Teaching”. This is the phase that prepares you to become a solid yoga teacher. This training will help you to perfect your Art of Teaching with exercises in teachings skills, inspiring lectures, demonstrations, and lots of teaching methodology. You will learn the main aspects of being an excellent Yoga teacher:

* Observation Skills
* Building Themes
* Effective Language
* Powerful Voice
* Teacher Demonstrations
* Adjustments
* Creating Sequences
* Anusara Therapeutics
* Peer Teaching
The Program includes
Anusara Teacher Training: 100 Hours
{Taught in two 50-hour parts, or in three 33-hour parts.}

Anusara Teacher Training 2 and 3. Total: 67 hours
(if you have completed TT1 already)
plus an elective of your choice:
--Ashtanga NYSY Teacher Training, 33 hours
--Prenatal Yoga NYSY Teacher Training, 33 hours
--Yoga Therapy or Anusara Therapeutics at NYSY, 33 hours
--Bhakti Flow Teacher Training at NYSY, 33 hours
--Jivamukti Immersion at NYSY, 33 hours
--Kids Yoga Teacher Training at NYSY, 33 hours
Once you obtain your 300 hour Teachers Diploma, you are considered a full teacher, ready to teach independently and open your own studio.


500 HOUR NYSY YOGA MASTER TEACHERS DIPLOMA: Advanced Yogic Studies

This is the next step of learning for serious yoga teachers and practitioners. Choose from a variety of training courses that will enable you to advance your knowledge and experience, and thus help you to become an effective, experienced, and well-rounded yoga teacher. We consider this education equivalent to a Master’s degree, an advanced level of study for the dedicated yogi.

600 HOUR NYSY YOGA SPECIALIZATION DIPLOMA

If you feel drawn to one area of study in your yoga path, you can choose this area to focus in with 100 hours of study, personal research, and a project that will be your own contribution to the field of yoga. Your yoga specialization could be in: Yoga Therapy, Pre-natal, Yoga for Kids, Yoga Anatomy, Tantric Studies, Anusara, or Vinyasa Yoga, or Meditation, etc.
