Fat Pitches

Fat Pitches came down with another W last night with a walkoff. 16-15 final score! Two games remaining with Los Cerveceros and Barry Gons. Excellent team win!

The Fat Pitches look to get back above .500 tonight as they face off once again against Los Cerveceros. The two teams met on opening night (March 14th) with the Fat Pitches winning 17-12. They will try to keep the momentum going from last week’s blowout victory over South Texas Ford Trucks.
The Fat Pitches currently sit in 3rd place at 2-2 on the season.

The Fat Pitches bounced back in a big way tonight, beating the South Texas Ford Trucks 15-4 to even their season record at 2-2.
The game was filled with plenty of clutch hitting, with the majority of our runs coming with 2 outs. Including our first home run of the season, hit by Daniel Tijerina. Way to go guys!

Looking to get back in the WIN column tonight!!

Unfortunately, after a rainout in week 2 we dropped both games of a doubleheader last week. In the first game we lost a heartbreaker to Team Kyrish 6-5 on a walkoff homerun. Then we lost in a blowout to Barry Gons, who picked up a lot of ringers from other teams. Only 2 guys were from their actual team.

Fat Pitches are now 1-2 and looking to get back on track tonight against South Texas Ford Trucks.

Last night was a 1988 Columbia Padres reunion. It marked the first time in 35 years that all three of us (me, Shay and Oscar) have been on the same team together. Crazy!
Note: Jason joined that Padres team the following year when Shay and Oscar moved up to a higher division.

A good start to the season. We got the bats going early and held on for an opening night win.
