What is addiction?

One definition says it’s the inability to stop doing something, especially when it’s causing harm.

I’d add this:

The moment you can’t consistently choose what matters most over what gives you the next dopamine hit… you’re no longer fully in control.

That’s the part that should make all of us stop and think.

Because this isn’t really about phones.

It’s about what our phones are quietly replacing.

The conversation with your spouse.

The game of catch with your son.

The uninterrupted dinner with your family.

The stranger you never met.

The business idea that never had enough silence to show up.

The book you never finished.

The memories that never got made because your attention was somewhere else.

Now imagine the opposite.

Imagine putting your phone down for an hour every day and giving that hour back to your life.

You’d notice things you haven’t seen in years.

Your kids would remember having your eyes instead of the top of your head.

Your relationships would get deeper.

Your mind would become clearer.

Your creativity would come back.

Your stress would go down.

And the people around you would feel something they’ve been missing…

You.

The greatest opportunities in life rarely arrive through a notification.

They usually show up in a conversation…
A relationship…
A quiet moment…
Or simply by being fully present.

Maybe the greatest thing you’ll ever discover isn’t hidden inside your phone.

Maybe it’s been waiting for you to look up.

When was the last time you intentionally put your phone away and felt like you got part of your life back?

Marketing is about being different...not so much better.

However, I feel like a lot of marketers miss that by trying to have all of the new AI trends in their marketing.

Which then just makes them the same.

Excuses are the nails to a house of failure!!

You can never go wrong being proactive about transforming the soul!!!

We need to constantly remind young athletes how much what they are learning will translate to the long term version of themselves!!!
