Stop over reading the first part of the putt. The last few feet is the most important.

Green reading is just basic math and pattern recognition - nothing more, nothing less.
You can’t expect to be a good green reader without great speed control. It simply won’t break the amount you expect if you hit putts different speeds than you intend.
Your putting shot pattern is about 20% of the total distance of the putt (10%) a side.
There’s nothing you can do to shrink it - it’s the human limit in an imperfect game.
This is why you have to leave putts short. The alternative is hitting putts so far past that you have a reasonable likelihood of missing the comeback, plus a putt going 4 feet past is never going in unless you misread your putt.
These are the “tamer” comments as well - I really couldn’t care less about what I get called, this is what the math supports, and if you want to be a better putter, you must leave around half short from distance.
Shoutout for the graphic! 🔥
The best players in the world leave putts short from this distance way more often than what most people think. To have good speed over a large sample size, you have no other choice.
I see so many amateurs getting caught up in break of the first part of the putt, when it just doesn’t matter near the amount the last few feet do.
The ball is just moving too quickly for it to break more than a few inches in most cases.
Your path of the putter just does not matter for all practical purposes. There are things WAY more important that you should go devote your time and energy too instead to be a great putter - green reading, speed control, face control namely.
If NBA players are willing to take a more difficult shot for a better chance to “lip in” - why shouldn’t we do the same with our speed control putting?
Also - go spurs go!!!!
Never too early to start training the skill of low point control - great action here 🙌🏻
I’ve not seen a single good junior player hit their wedges both well and with a high (35+) launch angle.
