This is the official site for the San Clemente High School Mountain Bike Team. We compete in the SoC

The San Clemente Mountain Bike Team is back for its second season after a successful debut in 2016. The riders and coaches are expecting another rewarding spring of training and racing. As interest grew, the team expanded to include middle school student athletes in addition to the high school level. It's fitting that Matthew who last year earned the team's first ever podium started off this season with the program's first ever win. Trevor shared in the victory having put in many attacks en route to placing 3rd.

The JV guys performed well in their first race of the 3 lap distance. Jack finished a respectable 9th contending with his tires slowly deflating. Thomas, Justin, and Caden picked up where the progress of last season left off and adapted well to pushing themselves past the hour mark of hard racing. Looking forward to great performances to come as this group grows into the JV level.

Sophomore race was animated start to finish by Trevor and Matthew who worked together creating the winning move placing 3rd and 1st respectively. They will be a dominant force contending at the front of the field all season.

Ty led off the day as our only freshman. He learned a lot in his first mtb race and wore the colors well racing with the same grit that earned him so much respect in the wrestling program.
