🌊⚽️ What a weekend for Samba!

This weekend, our players stepped onto the sand at the Beach Soccer Challenge in Oceanside and created memories that will last far beyond the final whistle.

🥈 Our B13 Blue team finished as Tournament Finalists.
👏 Our second B13 team reached the Semifinals.
💪 Our B11 team battled hard, finishing with 2 wins and 1 loss.

But the biggest victory wasn’t the results.

The sand challenged our players to adapt, compete, support one another, and grow together. They experienced a new version of the game, walked onto the field with professional beach soccer players before the semifinals, and represented Samba with pride every step of the way.

A special congratulations to Coach who reached the Final and finished as the tournament’s top scorer, inspiring our athletes both on and off the field.

At Samba, moments like these are what youth sports are all about - building confidence, friendships, resilience, and a lifelong love for the game.

BU11 Champions 🥇⚽

Proud of this group for competing, learning, and representing Samba the right way at the Crusaders 3v3 Festival.

The tournament brought together more than 100 teams from clubs across Southern California in a fast-paced small-sided format designed to maximize touches, decisions, creativity, and player involvement.

Congratulations to our boys for bringing home the championship in the BU11 division. But more important than the medal is the process behind it.

At Samba, our focus will always be development first.

3v3 is an incredible environment for young players because the game becomes faster, more intense, and more demanding technically. Every player is constantly involved, constantly solving problems, constantly learning.

Winning is part of the journey, but our biggest goal is helping players grow with confidence, creativity, intelligence, and love for the game.

Some players are created in academies.
Others are created in the streets.

Marta grew up playing football in the streets of Dois Riachos, Brazil, often with boys, on uneven courts, dirt fields, and wherever the game could happen. That freedom, creativity, quick decisions, confidence in tight spaces, and joy for the game became part of her identity and the way she plays until today.

Street soccer and futsal didn’t just shape Marta’s technique. They shaped her imagination, personality, resilience, and love for the sport.

That’s exactly why, at Samba, our mission goes far beyond only developing better players. We want to cultivate a real passion for the game, help grow the culture of football in the United States, and create environments where kids fall in love with playing freely, creatively, and confidently.

This Sunday, the Samba family and the Brazilian community will have the opportunity to watch Marta live alongside an incredible generation of Brazilian players representing the game at the highest level.
