Happy New Year fam! 🥳✨

Hit The High Hard One Sit | V9 | Bishop, Ca ✅

Cheers to the first send of 2022!🥂
It feels really good to regularly find success with such a methodical approach to hard climbing: Picked a new climb, mentally split the climb into 3 parts, quickly figured out and memorized my beta (with help from and her trusty heel hook), tried the crux move in isolation a couple times, then executed 2nd try from the bottom all within less than an hour! This approach has been really effective for and I lately. I’m hoping we can continue this momentum into the new year and have tons more fun doing what we love. 🤗🪨

Stay psyched!

The audio makes this video so much better. My hype crew doing what they do best. 😂👌🏽

Drunken Monkey Sit | V8/9 | Las Vegas, NV

Back story: After a couple hours of figuring out my beta, I had taken a 30-45 minute break in almost 30 degree weather so my frozen little hands completely numbed out as soon as I pulled off the ground… hence the yelling and grunting while the “screaming barfies” slowly crept in during the top out. It took a lot to not let go and power through the pain. 🥶🤬😂

This line isn’t listed in the guidebook but adds a couple hard moves into the original V7/8 stand start and shares the opening sequence with the V10 line. I was told it goes at V9. Felt about V8/9 to me. Super fun and totally worth doing. I’ll try the V10 line next time for sure! made it look super cool 😎

A couple weeks back, we went to Dale’s Camp for some harder climbs and ended having loads of fun on this hidden gem next to Zen Flute! Perfect heels and toe jams with a sweet little dyno at the top.👌🏽 SOOO. MUCH. FUN!

I LOVE THIS CLIMB. 🙌🏽
So flowy. So much body tension. So much footwork. So much advanced technique required to make every move feel right. It’s feels so good to get something so dialed that when you come back to it, you surprise yourself with a day flash. ☺️⚡️

I’ve really been loving these duo days with my lover where we just head to our projects and support eachother. Thanks to my creative videographer for capturing my send. 😂👌🏽 And congrats on absolutely crushing Glow Worm V12+ in a single session, you freaking monster!

“Your heart is where my home is. Your souls exists in my soil. I got deep feelings for you. I’m not afraid to show it. We’ve been nurturing this love we were searching for so let’s grow it.
We were meant to be together forever. We both know it. If this is my chance at being your lover, I’m not gonna blow it.” 🔥❤️

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my online presence and whether or not I give an accurate portrayal of who I am. I could just show you an ideal posed photo of myself climbing where my face looks serene and beautiful and my body is elongated in an aesthetically pleasing angle which makes holding a position appear effortless… but that’s not reality.
That is a lie.
This photo is a much better representation of the truth because the reality is that climbing at a higher level is very hard. Doing hard moves requires grit and sheer determination and those things are usually expressed in the face. Sometimes growling or screaming is involved. No shame.
So here it is in all it’s glory…
MY TRY HARD FACE. 😖🥴🥵

Words that do NOT describe me:
- Graceful
- Passive
- Weak
- Photogenic

Words I AM described by:
- Wild
- Assertive
- Strong
- Authentic

I will forever pursue greatness and authenticity regardless of others’ perceptions of myself.🤘🏽

Challenge:
• Post a photo of your try hard face on your story
• Write 4 words to describe yourself
• Tag me in it so I can repost your epicness!🤩

I love trying climbs like this that are rarely done and overlooked. Took us two sessions to figure out the precise micro beta to make this V-red work. I was stoked to stick the crux move on my 4th or 5th go this day and send immediately after sending Black Mountain I Love You… and right before hiking up to send Pops Scotch. It was the perfect meat to my double double sandwich day! 🤗🥪
Feels about V9 to me.

I absolutely love this roof! Tiny crimps and hard tension moves on a 70 degree overhang! What more can you ask for?! The first time I touched it weeks ago, I couldn’t pull the first move because my tendons felt too achey to try it. This trip, I almost got it first try but grabbed the very last hold wrong and blew it. Sent it 3rd attempt after a “mulligan”. It’s exactly my style. I can’t wait to go back for the mega line Happy Hour V11. 🙌🏽

Pops Scotch | V10 | Black Mountain, Ca

It’s a pain in the ass to hike up to but well worth the landslide of choss and pine needles. Send me a DM if you want directions.📍

Shoutout to for being a boss ass crimp queen and putting up the FA of this beautiful line.👌🏽

And shoutout to my man for inspiring me by crushing the link up between Pops Scotch and Grams Goose to create a super line he dubbed Happy Hour V11. 🔥♥️
Go try it.

This one goes out to my shorties with the small wing span! 🐥
I love returning to climbs that I had tried a long time ago but had written off as impossible for me, not only to find some short person micro beta through the crux, but to also find that I’m just waaaay stronger than before. 🤘🏽This thing had always stumped me years before till I found this suuuuper tiny intermediate crimp last weekend that made the crux feel cruiser. I was too wrecked to execute a good burn from the start at that time but told myself with confidence that it’s fine because I feel like I can float it first try next trip. So that’s exactly what I did! 🙌🏽
Day flashed the proj but completely messed up and changed my beta at the end. Haha 😂👌🏽 Whatever works!

I ran a lap on this one just for funsies. It requires such dynamic movement to a pocket that I absolutely love! I realized I didn’t have a beta video for it since I did it years ago when it was still considered a freshly downgraded V9 (originally V10). I think the new book calls it V7 as the pocket has gotten deeper/better with time… but who cares. Lol
The downgrading on Bishop boulders has gotten out of control lately. I swear I can’t keep up. It currently feels V8 to me but perhaps it’s because I’m small and the crux move is so big? Doesn’t matter. It’s a great climb and worthy of repeating! 🔥👌🏽

Let’s not get too caught up in the numbers game! We’re all different shapes and sizes and although grades are largely given through consensus, there are countless variables and it’s still very subjective for many reasons.
A wise man once said “Climbing is just like Who’s Line Is It Anyways, where everything’s made up and the points don’t matter.” -

Just get out there and have fun! 🤗

I have a love/hate relationship with heights. I feel both invigorated and terrified on highballs. Some of that fear is very rational and invaluable to my safety while some of it is just anxiety based on doubt and lies. Being able to decipher between the two is a skill that is hard to learn but I imagine would feel superhuman if mastered. Perhaps one day I will have a better handle on managing my own fear. For now, it’s just one moment of bravery at a time. Raise your hand if your heart pounds climbing above 15 feet! 🙋🏻‍♀️

“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”

Pope’s Hat | V10 | Bishop, Ca
(send in progress)

This boulder means a lot to me in terms of growth. Although, I was not able to send it this trip, I surprised myself with incredible progress. Going into it with zero expectations, I did the V10 portion first try with ease… but then got lost on the reachy V3 top out and threw away the send. Woopsy. Lol 🤓 Next time!
