Last April, Bestie and Sissy threw me the most perfect baby shower in anticipation of sweet baby girl’s arrival. I of course was being difficult and said I didn’t want anything, but they know me better than that.
The sun was warm and the ocean breeze was crisp as we practiced gentle yoga. It was relaxing and stress-free ( for me at least), which is how I was focused on feeling during my pregnancy with baby #2. It was just what I needed.
Since my recent interview with Chelsea and Amber of for The Spring 2024 Super Hero Mom Series, I have been thinking about the importance of Mama’s care postpartum.
What if we as moms cared for ourselves the same way we do when we are pregnant? What if we continued to nourish ourselves after the arrival of baby? What if we could ask and receive help from those who are willing and able to help us? How would our families benefit if moms were cared for first?
That is why I love the opportunities that offers through their registry; they know that taking care of mama means baby will be taken care of. Because when you are a mom, every day is Mother’s Day!
