Venturing Spring Extravanganza

We are having a meeting on April 4 (Wednesday) at Denny's at Chase and Mollison at 7:00. Please try and clear your calendars to be there. I appreciate it.

I would like to see who is available on 3-7-12 for a meeting at 7:00 (location to be determined) to start rounding into the event and start working on some of the details. I believe I have all program areas pretty well convered. Please let me kow if you are available - I will also send out an email later tonight regarding the same thing. I have now had 10+ troops/crews inquire into the event so I am hoping registration will be flowing in soon.

Had someone asks some questions regarding the event to bring some youth to that are thinking of forming a crew!!!!

Discussions with HAT went well. Looks like they will be helping in various areas of the event. Lakefront and climbing wall covered. Working on San Diego Grotto to come and work the Cave Sim and Ascending excersize. We have shotting to ourselves now (don't have to share). Also, I believe well over 500 emails have been forwarded for the event as well. The event seems to be coming together. Who is excited?!

I just sent the event flyer to 182 people via email. Who can you send the flyer to to get the word out????

So, email conversation with a lady that is head of the SDIC Acitivities Committee. It seems we have been a topic of conversation over there last 3 - 4 meetings. Good or bad I ask? She says it is good, they are excited for the event and is working on promoting the event in all the districts.

Let's get the word out through Facebook. Great Free Advertising. Let's see how many Like's we can get up to.

All right - the challenge has been laid down and I am ready to run with it. At my meeting it was stated the last Venturing event Shooting Sports helped with only had 75 people!!!! So they were only going to slot for 30 people :( So I made the announcement at the meeting that my goal is 1,000 participants. Can we do it? It would rock!

Had a meeting about MSR facilities today. We have some great support from many areas!

Here is the the flyer as posted with council! How many people can you invite? You can print this flyer if you wish. I will also work on getting some printed in color to hand out. Let me know how many is needed.

For meetings - Thursday at 6:00 is difficult. What are other times we can meet?
