🔴⚪️ Tomahawk night in Girona.

The whole group around one table, coaches included, and a few boards of chuletón between them. Tomahawk steak is not a novelty here — the chuletón is one of Spain's great shared dishes, cooked over embers and brought to the table on a board for everyone to carve into.

In Catalonia the same instinct runs through everything done a la brasa: simple ingredients, no rush. You order for the table, not for yourself.

Which is the point. Eating well is part of recovering well, but sitting down together for two hours is how a squad turns into a group of friends.

Our first Bundesliga-level opponent, and the boys went toe to toe.

Opening the scoring against a side of that quality told the group something about itself.

"We have been working on our defensive shape and our positioning when we have the ball, and that showed in the game. We had some very good combinations and were also really well organized in our pressing. Overall, it was a good step forward in the development of the team and each individual player. The next step is learning how to win these kinds of games and rewarding ourselves for the hard work the boys put in every day.
