Quote by S.B. Keshava Swami
“If someone tells a lie loud enough and long enough, others begin to accept it as truth. When enough people are convinced by that ‘truth’ it becomes a culture. If that culture is somehow transmitted to the next generation, it becomes a tradition. Such traditions, and the worldviews and behaviours they espouse, become etched into society, followed by millions, usually without question. Our weapons of mass instruction — educational systems, media powerhouses and community structures — reinforce these traditions, causing untruth to perpetuate over decades and centuries. Blind leading the blind, all completely oblivious to the illusion.”

What is more public welfare than Krishna Consciousness? To awaken everyone's original consciousness is the best public welfare in the whole world.
Now people are seeing how genuine our movement is, they are coming forward to offer us so many places. We simply have to maintain our strict
principles, keeping ourselves pure, Otherwise, there are so many bogus
institutions doing business in the name of God and simply cheating the
people. We have to be careful not to degenerate like these others. Our
strength depends upon regular chanting the required 16 rounds and rigidly adhering to the regulative principles.

If a person is a brahmana, then his natural qualification will be like this. What is that? Satyam: he is truthful. In any circumstances he is truthful. Even to an enemy he will tell the secret: ‘This is the fact’. That is truthfulness. Not that I am very truthful, but when my interest is jeopardized, I tell a lie. That is not truthfulness. Truthfulness means that in any circumstances, one will speak the plain truth. That is truthfulness.”

Dancing is very good. The more you dance, the more you become light; means the burden of material contamination becomes reduced. Dancing is so nice.
Even if you don't feel ecstasy, if you dance by force, that will also help
us. Krsnot-kirtana-gana-nartanau-parau premamrtambho-nidhi. By dancing, dancing, we shall develop our dormant Krsna consciousness, love for Krsna. This is a nice process. Krsnot-kirtana-gana-nartana-parau
premamrtambho-nidhi. Then you will merge into the ocean of love for Krsna. So this is the highest stage of ecstasy for Krsna consciousness, always chanting Krsna's name, dancing in ecstasy, and to be merged in the ocean of love for Krsna. These are the perfection.

Harmony with Krishna’s Will
We often hear, “Man proposes, God disposes.” But the Bhagavad Gita offers a powerful shift: "God proposes, man accepts." True peace comes not from controlling everything, but by harmonizing our will with the divine.
Even wealth, power, or knowledge can’t shield us from reversals—because the real control lies with Krishna. He’s our loving Father, our eternal well-wisher, guiding us through karma and beyond.
When Arjuna stood on the battlefield, overwhelmed, Krishna’s message helped him see: life’s purpose isn’t in material success but in spiritual alignment. Acting with devotion transforms adversity into opportunity. 🌱
Key Gita Insights:
We are eternal souls—not the body or mind.
God lovingly orchestrates even our setbacks for our growth.
Suffering can be a doorway to spiritual awakening.
Real victory lies in devotional surrender.
In Kali Yuga, mantra meditation—especially chanting Hare Krishna—awakens our higher nature and reconnects us with divine harmony.
Let’s not just read the Gita, but live it. ✨
karishye vacanam tava — “I will do Your will.”
Bhakti Yoga Maui: Simple Service, Deep Devotion
Bhakti Yoga Maui continues its humble service on the beautiful island of Maui, striving to nurture devotion in the hearts of all who join us. Inspired by the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and the Srimad Bhagavatam, our small community gathers twice a month at our home for programs of kirtan, satsang, and prasadam distribution. These gatherings are not grand or elaborate, but they are sincere offerings of love and gratitude to our dear Krishna.
In Bhagavad Gita 9.26, Lord Krishna declares, “If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, fruit, or water, I will accept it.” This verse reminds us that Krishna is pleased not by the size or splendor of an offering, but by the simplicity and purity of the devotee’s heart. In this spirit, our home programs center around chanting the holy names, reading and reflecting on the scriptures for twenty to thirty minutes, and sharing sanctified food with one another. Each meeting is a chance to reconnect, to remember our eternal relationship with the Lord, and to encourage one another in our spiritual journey.
Bhakti Yoga Maui is also blessed to host visiting devotees from all over the world. Our home has become a tirtha and ashram for those traveling through, offering them a place to share in kirtan, prasadam, and sweet association. We are eagerly looking forward to welcoming His Grace Mahatma Prabhu this coming December for a stay of two to three weeks. His wisdom, humility, and dedication to the path of bhakti inspire and uplift all who meet him. Srimad Bhagavatam (3.25.25) beautifully describes the power of saintly association: “In the association of pure devotees, discussion of the pastimes and activities of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is very pleasing and satisfying to the ear and the heart.” We pray that our association with Mahatma Prabhu will deepen our devotion and help us advance on the path of pure love for Krishna.
Beyond these regular gatherings and visits, Bhakti Yoga Maui serves the broader community through seva (selfless service). We are honored to prepare prasadam for tree planting events hosted by Akua Seva, a nonprofit dedicated to healing the land and restoring native ecosystems following the devastation of the wildfires. As described in the Srimad Bhagavatam (1.2.13), “The ultimate occupation for all humanity is that by which men can attain to loving devotional service to the transcendent Lord.” By supporting these tree planting efforts, we hope to express that loving service not only through direct worship but also through caring for the Lord’s creation and all living beings.
Preparing prasadam for these events is a joyful meditation. With each dish, we strive to infuse the offering with consciousness of Krishna, knowing that food prepared with love and offered to the Lord becomes a source of spiritual nourishment. The Bhagavad Gita (3.13) reminds us that those who eat food offered in sacrifice are released from all sins, while those who cook for personal enjoyment eat only sin. Thus, our kitchen becomes a sacred space where cooking transforms into an act of devotion. If you are on the island on Saturdays, please come visit Balabhadra dasa at the Napili Farmers Market from 8am to noon.
Our prayer is to continue these simple yet meaningful services — to chant the holy names, to honor prasadam, to welcome devotees, and to serve the land and its people. May these small efforts please Lord Krishna and bring joy to His devotees. Please bless us that we may continue and expand this service.

🌸 The Power of Kīrtana – Binding Krishna with Love 🌸
(From Broken Names by Śacīnandana Swami)
Sanatana Goswami wrote: “Hearing about Kṛṣṇa from scripture and the lips of devotees is like binding Him with thin silk thread. However, independent as He is, Kṛṣṇa soon severs these threads and moves away. We lose Him.
Meditating is a little bit more effective because it involves the king of the senses, the mind. So meditating is like binding the Lord with ropes, like those used to bind a cow. However, Kṛṣṇa cuts these ropes also, and goes somewhere else.
The bhakti of kīrtana, however, binds Kṛṣṇa as if with iron chains.
The effect of kīrtana is that the mind can also be bound. Kīrtana creates exquisite devotional feelings and then nothing has the power to pull the mind away. Kṛṣṇa stays and does His work of transformation. You thus become blissful.”
🎶 When we chant with love, Krishna not only listens—He stays.
