Strong girl summer …in full swing 😎☀️💪🏼

Current protocols: eating mindfully, hitting steps & training hard 🤝 Haven’t tracked macros in 2 months tbh. I have been traveling, not saying “no” to dinners out or drinks with friends. This is truly the most “balanced” I’ve ever felt in my fitness journey.
I won’t sugar coat this — it took me a long time to get to this spot. From low calorie dieting & tons of cardio to getting into macros & competing …to a long road of finding my way out the other side & making this a lifestyle. It takes time.

Tracking for years has given me the tools to do this on my own successful & has its place for sure! 💪🏼

Travel plans 🤝 summer — let’s chat tips to stay accountable while living your best life. My coaching motto is making fitness fit into your lifestyle — and that’s TOTALLY doable. I feel my best in terms of living a truly “balanced” lifestyle & getting my clients to the same spot too is a win WIN 😎🤘🏼

1. Hitting your “non-negotiables” - this for me looks like steps, water intake, sleep & monitoring stress. Factors that I can easily manage while away & place as top priority 🌟
2. Taking the stress off of tracking & aiming for 3 balanced meals - including a protein source, carb & fruit or veggie is my go-to plate 🔑 I find it too stressful trying to track my macros while away. I’d rather test my ability to make good choices & eat intuitively 👍🏼
3. Training if you can! Personally I love getting in a good lift especially if there’s cool gyms around but don’t stress missing some gym sessions… I promise the extra rest won’t hurt you!
4. Rest is equally important & we all need breaks. You can’t always be 100% & the point of travel/vacations are to step outside of your normal routine to R E L A X — do so! Your body & mind will thank you ☺️

Hitting y’all with some tips for those just getting back into the groove of things! ⬇️

▫️ Start with 1-2 things to focus on FIRST. It can be quite overwhelming getting back into routine period... & you don’t need to go 0-100 off the bat. Start small, gain consistency & build from there 🤝

▫️ Going off #1 — start with things like increasing daily activity (step goal from 2k to 4k), having 3 balanced meals (protein, carb, fat) & getting into the gym 3x/week from an inconsistent place. Make these goals REALISTIC — again, we can build from here.

▫️Prioritize QUALITY — quality sleep (8-10 hours a night), quality nutrients (whole foods > processed), quality media (unplugging & keeping stress low).

festive 4 the gains 🥸☘️🥦🐢🐸 happy St. Patrick’s!

CUT UPDATE ⬇️

8 weeks in & feeling really good! The scale hasn’t moved much but ~2-3 lbs — I feel AMAZING overall. Definitely feel lighter on my feet, clothes fitting looser & I can tell (especially in my midsection) the difference physically …plus still getting stronger with my lifts 🥳 it’s not all about the scale friends!

I’m eating 1,730 cals daily & this will probably be my lowest I go at this point — maybe one more small drop. I’ve really just prioritized increasing activity with spin classes from 2 to 4x a week with daily steps between 8-10k. Goal is to finish this cut in 4 weeks & reverse up 💪🏼

I was a month out from surgery (full knee reconstruction) & a few weeks into what became my summer spent in my home gym. I was getting excited about my progress & can vividly remember asking to take this saying “I can’t wait to compare these in a year” 😬 …Fast forward now 7 years!⁣

The scale doesn’t do you justice if your goal is body recomposition (20 lbs heavier now) — take PHOTOS! 👏🏼👏🏼⁣

Progress takes sweet time too. Several building & cutting phases in between, and we are still a work in progress …better everyday 🤍⁣

Wednesday’s are my check-in days & feeling SO freaking good in this reverse! 😆⁣
I’ve been 100% on all protocols without any slip-ups for the last 1.5 months after travel. I haven’t taken an untracked meal since with food higher, I rarely have intense cravings & when I do crave something, I just have it and fit it into my day easy 🙌🏼⁣
I stopped my cut back in June when my body was literally like “ya, no more 😂”⁣

So when is it time to reverse? ⁣

▫️You’ve been dieting for an extended period of time ⁣
▫️You’re super food focused & hunger is super high ⁣
▫️You’re struggling sticking to plan & fall off over the weekends⁣
▫️You’re low energy & more moody ⁣
