Operating as usual
The goal is really, to become the best version of yourself.
Health is a state of body. Wellness is a state of being.
The water will cleanse the system, fill you up, decrease your caloric load and improve the function of all your tissues.
Walls are temporary as long as you keep going.
So, how do we stop worrying about the future?
We double down on our meditation and mindfulness practices that help to calm our worrying minds and bring our attention into the present.
You already have more than you know.
Build your community..
by keeping your purpose in mind and reminding yourself of how your contribution matters. You’re a great parent, aunt or uncle, and you’re having a meaningful impact on children’s learning. Or you’re participating in a key project which will affect the user experience for your company’s customers. Or you’re processing payments at a university where students will get their start toward their life goals. Even everyday contributions matter to the community as a whole.
To prepare a fennel bulb, trim any browning from the bottom and remove the stems and fronds. Remove any damaged parts with a knife. If you are serving fennel raw, it's best sliced very thin; a mandoline comes in handy here. Stand the bulb on its root end and slice using a mandoline or very sharp chef's knife. Toss into a salad or slaw and use the fennel fronds as a garnish. Slices of the bulb can also be pickled and eaten as a snack.
If you're planning to cook the fennel bulb, it can be sliced, chopped, or quartered before roasting, grilling, or braising. The stems can be sliced thin and used in recipes like celery or left whole and used underneath a roasted chicken or other meat to prevent burning and add flavor.
The best forms of exercise for improving mental health and longevity appear to be social sports, such as tennis, golf, badminton, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and group exercise, which not only improve fitness, but also promote interpersonal bonding and tend to reduce stress.
Pay attention. It's hard to slow down and notice things in a busy world. Try to take the time to experience your environment with all of your senses — touch, sound, sight, smell and taste. For example, when you eat a favorite food, take the time to smell, taste and truly enjoy it.
Live in the moment. Try to intentionally bring an open, accepting and discerning attention to everything you do. Find joy in simple pleasures.Accept yourself. Treat yourself the way you would treat a good friend.
Focus on your breathing. When you have negative thoughts, try to sit down, take a deep breath and close your eyes. Focus on your breath as it moves in and out of your body. Sitting and breathing for even just a minute can help.
Perspective, gratitude and attitude are all characteristics found in the happiest, most successful people. All of these are things you can control.
Creating balance in our lives is an important part of wellness. A balanced life can mean many things, depending on culture, circumstances, resources, and other factors. Balance means making sure we have time to do the things that make us feel happy and fulfilled. This includes working, having fun, spending time with family and friends, participating in the community, being physically active, praying, relaxing and sleeping.

Wellness matters because everything we do and every emotion we feel relates to our well-being. In turn, our well-being directly affects our actions and emotions. It’s an ongoing cycle. Therefore, it is important for everyone to achieve optimal wellness in order to subdue stress, reduce the risk of illness and ensure positive interactions.
With self-awareness, you can cultivate the habits that work for you. Consider, for instance, differences in circadian rhythms. Circadian rhythms reflect our natural tendencies for sleeping and waking and influence our energy and productivity at different times in the day.
People often think about wellness in terms of physical health — nutrition, exercise, weight management, etc., but it is so much more. Wellness is a holistic integration of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, fueling the body, engaging the mind, and nurturing the spirit.

on a crudité platter or as an afternoon snack. Pickle them for a zingy addition to entrees. Slice them thin to top fish, tacos, salad, nutty noodle dishes, or grain bowls. Toss them in olive oil and roast on a sheet pan with other root vegetables for a quick and healthy side dish.
