Sew Fun to Run
Sew Fun to Run is a 5k training program, inspired by creativity to get kids movin'! Imagine. Create. Run. Use your imagination. Design and sew a costume.
Wear it on race day! Sew Fun to Run is a 5 week long, 5k Training Program for KIDS. Our Goal is to run a 5k wearing fun costumes that we've made! Our Mission is to GET KIDS MOVIN! No technology allowed (besides the sewing machine)! We talk, we run, we create. We also learn healthy ways of eating from an expert nutritionist.

Some of the kids decided to run "Bolt to the Q" today. What a great race!! The finish line is actually on the 50 yard line inside Qualcomm Stadium. A reporter from K**I loved the tutus and did a live cast with the girls and I. As soon as they send me the link, I'll post it. Next race will be the Awesome 80s November 1st. More information to come!

Awesome Day and look at these awesome kids!!! We ran the 5k day except for Jeff and Halle who missed the turn around point!!! They ended up running the 10k!!

I'm very excited for week 4 of Sew Fun to Run! We have 3 other kids joining tonight!!! They've been doing great each week as I've gradually increased the running time. We are half way through the program and I have no doubt they will do awesome during the 5k!

Less than one week and the seeds we planted are sprouting!! Zucchini, lettuce, spinach and cucumber YUM!!
Tomorrow the girls learn to sew in preparation for costume making next week!! I purchased material for Dorothy, Toto, Cowardly Lion, Glinda and the Wicked Witch!!! The girls are SO excited and already asking what our next 5k will be!!
