Everybody -
Nutrition requires a macro (daily calorie count) in order to give you the daily caloric requirement. Many nutrients are necessary but electrolytes are a priority because they are electrically charged minerals.
Poor electrolyte balance or symptoms of an electrolyte disorder include irregular heartbeat, fast heart rate, lethargy, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation.
Electrolytes can be found in spinach, kale, avocados, potatoes, yams, bananas, brocolli, beans, strawberries, watermelon, oranges, tomatoes, raisins, almonds and peanuts.
Athletic performance will suffer with an electrolyte imbalance.
Proper nutrition can help you get electrolytes in your food, or with supplements.
Do you need help designing a diet for improved performance ?
