Always good to see Great coaches at SDIA

Mike was born and raised right here in sunny San Diego. He has been playing hockey for over 20 years, at every position, but his passion is most definitely in between the pipes.

Aside from coaching hockey at the 8U and 10u levels, and goalies up to age 16 for the last 3 years, Mike has also coached high-school basketball, volleyball, and youth baseball.

This is Mike's second year at SDIA where he can often be seen coaching Friday nights at our goalie clinic. He also has a son that currently tends the nets for our Oilers travel team.

What Mike loves most about coaching is seeing players grasp the understanding of the game, and apply it to improve their on ice performance. Hockey IQ is a big part of how he teaches and coaches and he enjoys sharing his knowledge with players of all ages and positions.
