The PIKO booth at this year's Rocky Mountain Train Show is all set up and just waiting for the crowds to arrive, this Saturday and Sunday.
The hopper car is full of mints. We have plenty more, so stop by, grab a mint and talk trains in G, HO and N Scales.

Hey, all you train-loving folks in Colorado and thereabouts! The Denver weather forecast looks decent for the Rocky Mountain Train Show this Saturday and Sunday. The PIKO crew will be there, just inside the front entrance.
The photo shows last year's PIKO booth, but you can look for something similar. Come on out, talk to the PIKO team and enjoy the show!
This is a chance to get up close and personal with a pre-production version of our new G-Scale D&RGW Tri-Mode Mogul Loco. What's so special about Tri-Mode? Well, just that it's the first G-Scale loco ever to come from the factory with everything built in, so you can enjoy amazing digital sound, smoke and full-feature operation on your choice of DC, DCC or Battery R/C.
Yes, for the first time ever, with no modifications needed, the market will now have steam locos ready-to-run right out of the box - on clean track, dirty track... or technically, no track at all! Coming soon in D&RGW and PRR roadnames, plus a nifty CNJ Camelback loco due in the fall.
HO fans can marvel at the amazing detail and quality of our Krauss Maffei ML4000 Diesel Hydraulic locos. The reviewers at Model Railroad News and Railroad Model Craftsman magazines couldn't stop raving about these locos. Lots of customers - and we're talking about some folks with a whole lot of trains - have told us these are the finest models they own. We won't argue with them!
In N-Scale, check out our little gems, the Whitcomb 65-Ton Diesels. These are proof that good things can come in small packages. Diecast metal construction gives them great traction and they pump out more sound volume than many larger locos.
Last, but not least, the PIKO Kids Play Area will be there, with PIKO G-Scale trains and building blocks on the floor for the Junior Engineers. Sorry, grownups, this is for the kids! But you can buy your own PIKO Building Block Car and build whatever you want.
It should be fun time for all!

Grande Gold anyone?
The new PIKO HO KM ML4000 diesel locos are here! You can have your pick of authentic slightly-faded Grande Gold, in D&RGW road numbers 4001 and 4003, or the real standout, in more-faded Grande Gold, with patch lettering for Southern Pacific 9022.
These new models accurately represent the many modifications D&RGW made to their trio of KM "Prototype" units, which brought more reliable performance. But heading into the mid-1960s, D&RGW was trying to eliminate rare locos from its roster. So all three were sold to SP, which still believed in the diesel-hydraulic concept. They received only patch paint to cover up the "Rio Grande" lettering and replace it with big "SOUTHERN PACIFIC" lettering.
The renumbered SP 9021 suffered major fire damage shortly afterwards and languished in the shops. SP 9023 also spent much time in the shops. Only the lone SP 9022 soldiered on faithfully for quite some time, and became a Grande Gold fan favorite in a sea of Gray and Scarlet SP locos.
We have captured every detail to perfection! You can spend hours comparing the detail differences from the as-delivered versions, and even more hours spotting every little touch in the paint and decorations.
These models are all different from each other. And they are unlike anything else on HO rails! They are produced only once, in very limited quantities. Non-Sound D&RGW locos are already sold out and shipping now to the customers who pre-ordered them. Other versions are in short supply.
And for those who like their SP locos with Bloody Noses, we still have limited quantities of SP Modified versions in stock. These give the chance to compare even more differences in details and decorations.
Check them out at www.piko-america.com before they are gone!
