We are thrilled to announce the winner of the 2020 GRACEDBYGRIT foundation Scholarship: Mariana Akins.

Mariana is a true example of what it means to be GRACEDBYGRIT. She has demonstrated GRIT by overcoming obstacles and adversity in her life. She has experienced GRACE by choosing to grow through her gritty moments.

Mariana is a proud member of the graduating class of 2020 at Rancho Bernardo High School and will be playing Division 1 soccer at Texas Christian University in the Fall. We are honored to have her represent the foundation as she enters her freshman year.

We would like to thank ALL of the applicants and recognize each and every one of them for the grit it took to apply and the courage it took to share their stories. We wish them all the best of luck in their collegiate athletic and academic endeavors.

In the midst of this critical time for our country and the world, we are proud to recognize Mariana Akins and all the applicants of the GRACEDBYGRIT foundation scholarship for their grit and determination.
