My name is Jared Sagal, I am a dad, soccer coach and independent film maker .I have just finished my new movie called Young Beckham The film is a tribute to the great David Beckham and Manchester United. It is an inspirational and motivational film for all kids trying to chase their football dream. The idea came about after a random chance encounter with Becks at a crepe shop in Beverly Hills California. My son happened to be a full kit on with 7 and Beckham on the back. We went inside and Becks and my son had an amazing conversation about life and football. Then his crepes were ready and we got a pic and the rest is now history. Shortly after, we got the idea to make a film about a young boy who battles the demons of self doubt and bullying to try and pursue his dream of becoming a top footballer. We have made the film FREE to watch on You Tube so no kid or parent would have to pay. Given soccer parents are looking for good and motivating content for their players during these tough Covid times we thought this special group and ...site and fans could be a really cool way to help get this out! One of our futsal moms, Christina Augsburger, works with International Rescue Committee they are in need of donations. If there is anything you can donate please bring to futsal this Saturday. The IRC San Diego works in City Heights and El Cajon to help refugees and immigrants begin a new life in our community. Over the next year they expect to welcome over 500 refugees from around the world. Donations will be used to make welcome baskets for new families. Items needed include:
shampoo, bars of soap, deodorant, combs/brushes, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, wet wipes, kids coloring and picture books, markers and crayons. For more info contact Christina at 619-340-8498.
