There are 4 pillars to my life when it comes to health. These cornerstones are what everything is built around.
1st- Hard Work. For me it is getting up early and pouring myself into everything I do. I workout 2-3 times a day, work at least 8 hours, and make sure I'm there for my family every moment they are available.
2nd- Nutrition. That is everything I put into my body. I have a strict diet but enjoy my Texas BBQ and tacos when the time is right. I rarely drink. Alcohol lowers a males natural testosterone and interrupts natural recovery REM sleep. Which leads us into...
3rd- Sex! It is important. Do it every day(at least once). Be good at it! As an athlete (male and female) it promotes higher testosterone and releases hormones that help you sleep. Last but not least.
4th- Sleep and recovery. You need it. If you are going to put out high volume of work at an elite level you have to have the body be able to heal its self and that happens during sleep. Make sure you EARN your recovery session.

You’ve heard the phrase “train like you fight.” It could become cliché after hearing it over and over again, but it’s crucially true. You don’t (or rarely) get a second chance in a firefight. Every decision you make will have a consequence. When that day comes, you have to be ready. You train in a repetitive manner so things will be second nature on the battlefield.
