DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACTS/PAPERS: Fri Dec 20, 2013
The conference will comprise:
• Traditional paper panels: papers will be read/presented (open to faculty, graduates, and undergraduates)
• Discussion seminars: completed short papers will be distributed among seminar members ahead of the conference and discussed at the conference; papers will not be read/presented individually (open to undergraduates only)
The Symposium organizers invite:
i) Abstract (faculty and graduate students) or abstract plus full 8–10-page draft (undergraduate students) for 20-minute conference panel presentation papers that address any aspect of Shakespeare studies. Particularly welcome are papers that attempt comparative, cross-disciplinary, or theoretical approaches to Shakespeare
ii) Abstract plus full draft of 7–8-page seminar papers that address any aspect of Shakespeare studies within the following categories: performance; genre; history.
One abstract/paper submission per person.
Undergraduates should state on their submission whether they are sending a paper for panel presentation or a seminar paper. Undergraduates submitting a paper for a panel should be aware that they will be in competition with faculty and graduate submissions. Undergraduates who submit papers for panels and are declined will have their paper reconsidered for inclusion in a seminar.
Please send 200–300-word abstracts with a title and clear thesis or working argument and a 1-page resume by Friday December 20, 2013 to Lloyd Kermode at [email protected]
