Yes! I eat Rooster fish! They are awesome! There are plenty out there, they are not endangered. And NO the meat is not black!! Too many people telling me “they are too pretty to eat” and “the meat is horrible.” Just eat what you like and I will eat what I like.

Baby dorado on the surface iron today, basically couldn’t have had a better day. I don’t know about you all, but topwater iron fishing is KING, flat out bottom line!!!!!

After about 50 fish, this Rapala X-Rap looked torn up and tired. I hope the action is the same because she pulls fish! Maybe now with a nee paint job she might work even better?! Or just make me feel better about janky painting skills😂

Another Dorado from a few days ago. I hope I start seeing larger schools roll through.

I think this Dorado used to work for Cirque Du Soliel. Tried his best to spit the hook, but a 10/0 in your mouth and out your eye can prevent that from happening.

I have always been fascinated with what fish look like on the inside as much as the outside, when filleting this Bull dorado this morning my wife snapped this awesome pic of the top of his skull. I would love to know more about what they can do with it and why they have it.
