Production 2023.
Who else is feeling a little sad that it’s all over?
It was the best day and the best show ever. We are so proud of everyone! Thanks to all who made this Production a success. We 💜 you.

A lot of “lasts” coming down the pipeline… a note from Miss Katie.
“This marks the beginning of a lot of “lasts” at SV. Saturday was our last day of classes here and my last day with my Performance Crew dancers in this space. And, this week is our last week of rehearsals. We are feeling all the feels and I wanted to share some of the words that have been common amongst the dancers when describing this space — “Happy. Safe. Family. Home.”
And, that’s what it’s all about. Taking all of those things (and more) with us to start our next chapter.
And so for today, and the days to come, we add the word “gratitude”. Because my mom and I are so grateful for this.

Thank you for the love and support. It will undoubtedly be an emotional few days ahead, but that is paralleled by pure joy and excitement for Production week. We got this, dancers 🫶🏻💪🏻💜

CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT—

It’s with a heavy heart we announce that as of June 30th, 2023 due to circumstances beyond our control, we will be permanently closing the doors to our beloved Sorrento Valley location.

Leaving our flagship location was never in our plans, but the building has been sold and we do not have the option to stay. From now through 6/30/23 we will continue to offer classes at both the SV & RB studio locations, transitioning to operate our expanded schedule solely out of our RB studio starting July ‘23.

While we are sad to say goodbye to our cherished Sorrento Valley location, we look forward to bringing our entire dance community back together under one single roof at our RB studio later this year with our entire staff.

To our beloved Sorrento Valley and Mira Mesa community, thank you for embracing us when we first opened our doors 14 years ago and for making our dreams into a reality. We are eternally grateful for your dedication and support and we hope that you will continue to follow us in our journey.

We are working tirelessly behind the scenes to provide an elevated class schedule at our RB location that includes more block scheduling for our families who will be making the further commute. The schedule is slated to be released in the spring. And, as many of you know, we’ve already renovated the front studio at RB to allow for more dance space.

This has been a very emotional time for us as we prepare to close our doors to a space that has been “home” to so many people over the last decade and a half, but we have been lifted up by the incredible support of our students, families and community. We have been reminded that Dance & Company is not about the studio location, but rather, the people and the environment that we have created inside the studio walls.

We will continue to keep everyone informed along the way and also share many memories here from the beginning days of Dance & Company, Sorrento Valley.

It may be the end of an era, but we still have a dream.

We are excited to continue offering our new Creative Movement dance session at our Rancho Bernardo facility beginning 1/17.

Details for this 6 week session.

For who: toddlers age 2-3 years. (Not mommy & me).

What: Creative movement dance class with one of our expert toddler instructors. Includes ballet and creative movement. Song and dance.
Where: Dance & Company Rancho Bernardo off of Camino Del Norte

When: Tuesdays 9:30am-10:15am
Session: 6 week session (January 17, 24, 31, February 7, 14, 28). No class on 2/21 “ski week”.

Cost: $100 (includes 6 classes, session is prepaid - no prorating or discounts for classes missed). No paid membership fee required for this session.

Attire: We recommend a leotard, tights, a tutu/skirt with ballet slippers. For males: comfortable athletic shorts and tshirt.

- dancers are not required to be potty trained, but parent/guardian must stay close by.
- parent/guardian is not in classroom with dancer. Observation is done from outside the classroom.

This is currently our only weekday morning offering. We offer our regular class schedule for ages 2.5+ in the afternoons/weekends.

The world has lost a legend; a man who changed the world of dance in such a profound way, forever. We did it! We are exhausted, but we did it. We’ve successfully added 150 sq ft of dance space to our front studio at RB. Making lemons out of lemonade over here 😍 Hats off to our incredible contracting team for making our 6 day timeline come to life. Can’t wait to see you on the dance floor!
