Formula 1 drivers, teams, & the series itself have seen significant growth in 2021, bouncing back from a delayed season in 2020. Across the series, total social followers are up 33% from 15 August, 2020 and fan engagement in 2021 is up 50% over the same period in 2020.

When it comes to sponsorship value, the series owned accounts are the major driver, generating nearly ⅔ of all sponsorship value AAV.

Looking at the portfolio's of brands invested in women's sports, Procter & Gamble's Secret Deodorant saw the highest percentage of their sponsorship value come from female athletes and women's sports organizations, mainly powered by their partnership with the NWSL. Other brands receiving the majority of their sponsorship value from women's sports include Deloitte (WNBA, USWNT), Barilla (WTA, Mikaela Shiffrin), and Athleta (Simone Biles).

100 days to the Olympics! We can't wait for the big games to take place, so we did some analysis on the top Summer Olympic sports on social media.

Turns out, Mountain Bike is the #1 sport when it comes to average sponsorship value generated per 10,000 followers from athletes within that sport. New Olympic sport Climbing also cracks the top 10. More traditional sports like Basketball and Global Football rise to the top in terms of average # of followers per athlete.
