Tag someone that needs to improve their performance

๐Ÿ”ท There are many ways to train plyometrics

๐Ÿ”‘ For this particular drill we focused on having short ground contact times. We measure RSI and use a myriad of drills to improve upon it

๐Ÿ”‘ Stay on your โ€œpower padsโ€ (aka balls of feet) throughout the entire drill

๐Ÿ”ท We donโ€™t always directly train plyos but when we do, I make sure to choose the drills that have the largest impact and that makes the most sense with the phase of the program

Incorporate this in your training to help lateral and vertical plyometric skill

๐Ÿ”ท The 5-10-5 is a widely used athletic drill/test and can translate to many sports.

๐Ÿ”‘ Angles, angles, angles. Proper shin angles matter. Your shin angle determines where your body goes. The slightest degree can add or subtract from your time

๐Ÿ”‘ Crossover run at the start. Turning and linear sprinting as your first movement is inefficient. You want to crossover, cast, then hockey stop into the first line

๐Ÿ”ท When we started testing Lucas, he was in the high 4.6โ€™s. With some cueing, working select drills and testing we were able to drop to the high 4.4โ€™s. To give you some context, in the 2017 NHL combine 8 out of the top 10 best times were in the 4.4โ€™s. We still have more work to do so stay tuned
