Varsity seniors 2020. Congrats to the seniors who graduated last week. Although their season was cut short and the possibilities weren’t seen , the spirit lives on . We can recognize these baseball players for their 4 years of dedication to the PLHS Program. All of them are headed off to college , some will continue to play baseball at the next levels and some will chart other courses. Collectively, they all share the love of the game with the bonds they shared and have the brightest futures! Best of luck Pointers.
RJ Larocco , Tanner Shinkle, Ryan Lista , Hayden Tregidga , Caydon Koolen , Jeffery Barber, Connor Ludwig, Kevin White , Hunter Otjen and Tyson Orzel

Senior Spotlight: Hayden Tregigda (2B/P) #12 Happy Friday....
Hayden will be starting out at Palomar College and playing baseball for them as well!
He wants to thank his homies for making the game fun and enjoyable while he was playing at Point Loma. 🐍🐍 @ San Diego, California

Senior Spotlight: (Catcher/OF) #7 RJ Larocco’s high energy and passion for baseball started at very young age. He would spend his days at the field practicing for hours and hours with his dad and little RJ never ever slowed down. He has always been a competitive player and that has made his mark on the field. He is grateful for his PLHS teammates and coaches that were instrumental in his success and most importantly the friendships he has made over the years. RJ has worked very hard both academically and athletically and is beyond excited to continue to play baseball at Webster University in St. Louis. Never lose kid, you either win or LEARN. Thrilling all around player with amazing athleticism and a crucial lead-off hitter! @ San Diego, California

Senior Spotlight: (P/OF) #3 Hunter Otjen has been playing baseball since before he could walk. First time he saw a ball fly off a bat he became obsessed with the best game in the world! Hunters passion drives him to work hard everyday.
He has played on the Point Loma Varsity Baseball team since he was a freshman and was really looking forward to his 4th year this season. Hunter felt honored to play each season with talented inspiring teammates. Felt lucky to work with each and every coach and the knowledge each had to offer. The 3 full seasons he played they won league and Hunter looked forward to helping his team this season and winning CIF. Hunter feels blessed he had the opportunity to play at petco on the all-star team last season and is sad for his team to miss that opportunity in April. He is sad for missing crazy haircuts before playoffs, senior game, and striving to beat personal goals. But with the sadness so much to celebrate. The coaches for giving him a chance, the great moments he helped his team win, the lifetime friendships and memories that have helped him continue to become who he is today. The memories which are priceless... We are so proud of our 2020 baseball team and beyond proud of Hunter. He is so excited for his future of continuing to play baseball at PLNU next year and we look forward to seeing him succeed!! @ San Diego, California

Senior Spotlight: (Catcher) #15 Tanner Shinkle will be attending San Diego State University to study Mechanical Engineering. “A very smart player, borderline genius with abundant baseball instincts. He is a brick wall behind the plate and is accurate with his throw downs. Called his own games majority of the time spent with PLHS and did a terrific job doing so. Developed himself into a strong team leader.” Going to miss that smile brother! @ San Diego, California
