San Diego Table Tennis Team League

Congratulations to this season’s Magnificent 6 winners. This week’s Mag 6 profile is 2 time US National player and Pan American Games participant Chisun Chui. He’s a two winged looper with an uncanny ability to block most players down and utilize his strong backhand. Chisun’s biggest win was against world ranked #300 to advance to the round of 16 at the Pan American Games. His favorite player is the infamous Jan Ove Waldner. Chisun and The Underdogs will be kicking off the season vs The Wolfpack tomorrow 12pm at the Balboa Park Activity Center.

The first matches for the team league will be the following weekend. Registration will be closing tonight. If you haven’t registered feel free to DM. 🏓

Hope that everyone is training well and ready for the team league coming up in a few weeks. The deadline to sign up is this coming Friday the 8th. Also if your interested in qualifying to be paid to play there will be a tournament next Saturday 12pm at SDTTA.

After the first board meeting in person for over a year, the San Diego Table Tennis Association has decided to bring back the team league starting next month for the 3rd season. This year the league has a few different components. The first one is having 9 players qualifying through the pre team league tournament to be paid throughout the season instead of 6 players the past two seasons. We’ve also added post season play which includes semi and final matches. The last one we’ve added is a unique way of deciding who wins which allows no ties. Sign ups for the SDTTTL start now and will end October 8th.
