It has been so long since we've posted! Some things have changed! We are expecting our first baby 👶!! Our son will be here in a few months. Although this pregnancy hasnt been the easiest, we are blessed and excited beyond measure 😊. Marcia has been unable to train per usual, but I have been trying to stay in shape and preparing for the little one! I (Brittany) will be posting more content of my lifts and what I prep for the week foodwise! I am currently on weeks 6 of the Buff is Beautiful program (), and I am excited to bring you guys in on the journey!

9 weeks down and 3 more to go until I am fully healed! This recovery has been a journey and I've appreciated every moment of it! Can't wait to be able to lift and start my next fitness journey!

You can't expect to undo a year or more of unhealthy habits with just 4 weeks of work 🙃

Unfortunately... it doesn't work like that. In order for you to see change and progress, you must be consistent in doing the work!

Unfortunately the fitness industry has been lying to people for a long time! They tell you that you can take off 30lbs in 4 weeks and keep it off... This is not sustainable ... as it leads to food restriction and very high amounts of activity =

is on the road to recovery from her surgery 💪🏽😁

The wifey had partial hysterectomy two weeks ago, and she was just cleared by her doctor to lift up to 5lbs 😄 ... it's not much, but it's progress!! So we headed to the gym for a little sesh!

She's been doing really well, walking and doing things around the house 🏠... so it's nice to see that she's recovering well ❤️

She's excited to continue to improve more and more every week! Follow us .b.fit for her recovery progress! And if you have any questions about the surgery, post them in the comments, she'll be glad to answer them 🤗❤️

This week's events in the US 🇺🇸 have showed us that we have so much work to do!! We are only stronger when we work together, when we SEE each other, when we lift each other up!

We must show up, do the work, and let the world know that we won't back down. The world needs more of us! They need to hear our accents, see the color of our skin, see our love for each other, and know that we will make our own space in the room, we will continue to stand up for what it's right, we will continue to get stronger 💪

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐱𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 🍗🍰🍷

I know this time of the year can be hard for people that have just started or are continuing their fitness journey. Food tends to be a big focus during the Holidays, and this can bring up some anxiety and bad feelings around it 😬

So instead of just telling you to have fun and enjoy it ... I'm goin to direct this message to those that might be struggling with the thought of "what do I do about 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝" this time of the year 💕 ... because sometimes having steps and guidance might help a little bit to navigate it 😎

1️⃣ Bring a healthy side dish that you will enjoy, and that will make you feel good. For example, a side of yummy veggies, a different source of protein, a healthy-ish dessert you'll be excited to eat and share with others

2️⃣ Don't starve yourself all day to eat a big meal later. Have a good breakfast and a light lunch, this way you won't feel the need to overeat at dinner time

3️⃣ Fill up half of your plate with veggies, add a side of carbs and moderate side of protein

4️⃣ Have a slice of pie or dessert 🥧 🍰 ... knowing you can always have more later or the next day

5️⃣ Eat until your full, not stuffed, and drink water throughout the day

6️⃣ Enjoy your time with those sharing this day with you. Food is part of the celebration, but not the whole celebration

7️⃣ If you have time, get a good workout in that morning, or use the food you eat that night as extra fuel for your workout the next day 💪😉

Remember that one day of yummy food won't ruin your progress, just as one day of training won't make you fit. It's all about balance ❤
