I am a Djembe and dun dun player and I have been playing the Djembe for 30 years. Greetings Facebook world. I am teaching African drumming lessons, here in the San Diego county area, and I teach all ages how to play the Djembe, and the fundamentals of basic, and intermediate exercises. for more info about my private lessons, please contact me throw this group page or you can leave me a private message, and I will definitely respond as soon as I login to Facebook. I also have an account on Twitter, Mocospace as well. so if there are any that are interested, please let me know and we can take it from there, and schedule a day, time, and a location to meet up, and how long each session can be spent, on drumming. I usually spend at least a half hour to an hour, to go over different rhythms, and drumming exercises. so make sure you have the time, to be able to hang out and learn each session. I hope to hear from you soon, and don't be shy to talk with me and mention about the private lessons.peace, and blessings.

I can't wait to get back to the Kushinda drum and dance classes. it is long over due. it has been well over 1 year since I have drummed and this is not the state to drum in here in Norfolk Virginia. There is no roots here and that is very sad. We as African Americans are losing our African side and letting the American side take over and that is a shame. We need to bring back our culture as Africans and not Americans. We were Africans first before we were Americans. We all have some kind of African in us. discover your culture and be proud of the culture that is in you. It is not about pride but knowing where your heritage comes from and passing along the positive things about it to the next generations to come.

Kushinda will always be my African drum and dance family. I pray that everything is going well for them and that they are continuing to be blessed every class and that more shows come their way. I wish I were there with them in person, but I have to get back there and that will take money that I don't have right now at the moment, but when I do, I will leave as soon as I can and get back to Linda Vista. San Diego is my true home and that will never change. God be willing I will be there as soon as I can.
