Wow, Robin is so personable, friendly,caring and she is vulnerable. She shares some of her own life struggles which helps me through mine. I have had and I currently have some challenges physically. I have seen two physical therapists, two Chiropractors, Rolfing sessions and an Osteopath, and hands down Robin's evaluation and then exercise recommendations have done more shifting in my body then all the others. I high recommend!!

I created ErgoMOMics after the birth of my daughter because I felt (physically and emotionally) such a huge gap between prenatal and postpartum education.

Raising a human is hard enough. We should at least be given the tools to recognize, and care for, the repetitive stresses that can make a new parent feel like they’re falling apart 😔

This is where ergoMOMics comes in! Through workshops and classes this programming aims to empower parents to
not settle for the common mindset that says, “I’m a mom/dad now 💁🏻‍♀️ pain and fatigue just come with the territory”.

Seriously though, ever NOT do a workout because you don't have "enough" time to do a "full" workout? Yeah, me too. I caught myself avoiding workouts lately because I felt like I didn't have the time or space but then I reminded myself, that that's a bunch of bull#%^!!!

A workout doesn't have to be defined by how long it is or how sweaty you get. A workout can be a workout because you focused on moving. Like, intentionally doing something to build more strength, flexibility, stability and/or mobility for your body. That could be a five minute breathing exercise or 5 minutes of circuits or 5 minutes dancing around your house 👍.

Doing something is better than doing nothing at all.

I love this for so many reasons. I just love the idea of exercise being a journey because it's all encompassing. It can have ups and downs, smooth paths and bumpy roads, twists and turns, sunshine and rainstorms. It can look different each day.

As for growing old? Our bodies are designed for movement. If we stop moving, our bodies will stop working as well. It's really that simple. Just keep moving.

There is no right way to exercise. Your path could be on a peloton for six months, then in the gym for two weeks, or maybe you try running or yoga, chair workouts, or throwing the frisbee around... it doesn't really matter what each "workout" looks like, the idea is to keep moving, and keep trying new things. Whatever that looks like today is the perfect workout for you.

Love combining strength and cardio into a short and sweet routine.

Remember QUALITY over quantity! Just because it's timed doesn't mean you should speed through to get the most reps. Form is ALWAYS important. It's what separates a good workout from a bad one. Yes, challenge yourself on reps, but please don't compromise on your form.

I love combo exercises :) There's just something that feels so efficient about combining moves. Maybe it's the mom in me that just can't resist 2-for-1s?

As always LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. For me, #11weekspostpartum I'll be modifying the push up to brazilian crunch by doing the push ups from my knees then lifting to the plank position for the brazilian crunch. This way, I save my wrists and recovering abdominal muscles by not overtaxing them. I may even scrap the brazilian crunch altogether and go for a knee hover or simple plank hold... there are SO many ways to modify. BUT this routine gives me an outline to start from which is half the battle sometimes.
