Westview Wolverine Rugby Club

Westview Rugby is hopeful girls will start games January, 2021. Please stay tuned for updates pending decisions on COVID-19 protocol. If given the go ahead girls may start registration in November.

Boys are scheduled to start games in March.

Stay healthy and safe! We can’t wait to see you safely on the pitch.

There will be a short meeting for the Boys team returning players, and interested players or parents with Coach Monday, October 7 at 6:30 pm right outside Westview stadium. Coach will be giving some important information about this season and address any questions or concerns with the prospective players and family.

Don’t forget we also can take Mount Carmel players and home-school players in the area.

Boys rugby schedule for 2019-2020 season will be the weekends starting December 6-January 31st (off weeks December 27 and January 3; back January 10) for regular season. Playoffs February 8-15. Championship February 23.

The exact days are not yet determined but our goal is to secure 4 home games at Westview!

1/5/19 Girls Rugby: Valley Center 19, Westview 10 - Valley Center got a huge victory at their 4-team girls rugby round robin, beating Westview19-10. The Lady Jaguars got 2 tries from Desiree Jones and 1 from Alyssa Fehling; Raina Ghosh was efficient all afternoon, picking up a couple of long runs for the host school. Moorea Jones scored the lone try....

Scrimmage against Murrieta Valley High School.

First official game is next week against Rancho Bernardo.

Saturday Round Robin scrimmages with UC, Pt. Loma, PH, Mira Mesa and other HS teams... Westview was able to displayed good technique and discipline but recognized areas to improve. Overall, this will be an exciting season for this team. Go Wolverines!

Westview High School Rugby players, parents, families and supporters!!!

Please spread the word we have a fundraiser! Westview Rugby boys and girls teams are selling tickets to the Holiday Bowl for $40 each (regularly $70) and of that, $15 comes back to our program.

We are student/family funded and monies raised will go toward our ability to have games at Westview High School (the Westview rugby team needs to pay field rental dues), cost for Westview Varsity letters the kids will earn, and the end of year banquet. Westview Rugby plays throughout December-February and both girls and boys teams will benefit.
