We have been fascinated by the practical applications of neuroplasticity in training and rehabilitation for 2 decades. One of the most fascinating aspects is just how quickly the nervous system can respond to both immobility and restoration of mobility.

In this new study (link below) significant functional disconnection was seen within 48 hours of applying a cast to a healthy arm. This disconnection progressed over the 2 weeks of the study and then reversed after the cast was removed.

One of the coolest findings was that the brain TRIED HARD to maintain the connectivity via periodic, spontaneous pulses of activity that were sent through the disused circuit. First and foremost, I hope all of you are doing well, staying safe and healthy!
I would like to invite you all to participate in a new virtual class I will be offering on Thursdays at 11am, starting April 2.
The class will be hosted through Zoom app. Please download the Zoom app ahead of time here: https://zoom.us/download
The class will include some Pilates based exercises as well as Strength Training and also Z-Health mobility, balance and vision drills.
The cost of each class is $25. If you already purchased a package of sessions with me, I will be deducting from the package. If you are not a client and would like to join this class, payment can be made by check or venmo.

and you can join using phone, Ipad, laptop, or desktop. If you are not already participating in video sessions or classes,
we think you will find them fun, supportive, and surprisingly natural.

Under the current circumstances, it’s evident to me that the health and well-being of our community is first priority. I am writing to inform everyone that I have decided to close the studio for ALL GROUP CLASSES . I will re-evaluate at the end of the week to see if more time is needed to stay closed. If you want to come in for a private or duet session, please email your trainer to inquire and/or communicate directly with a teacher at the studio to schedule.
Now is the time to take a pause and do what we can to help slow the spread of this virus and to protect ourselves, families, elders and community. This is quite a time for humanity. Now more than ever we need to support each other in this very delicate and frustrating time.
We are diligently cleaning the studio with every effort to keep surfaces clean and clear. If you do decide to come in for a private or a duet session, feel free to bring your own Mat, your own personal towel to put on surfaces if you prefer, washing hands before and after your session.
Thank you for your support and understanding during this challenging time. I am so grateful for each and every one of you and for all the teachers who are a part of the Zoom team . We’re in this together and we’ll stay connected, and surely come out stronger.
