Stronghold Mentoring

I’m also not a fan of touch and go during a strength session. Everyone knows that most CrossFitters botch the first rep because of lack of tension. That’s why when I program deadlifts, I make everyone dead start each rep so the lifters are good at finding tension on the first try. In an actual strength competition, you only get ONCE chance and a crappy setup can make or break a heavy lift.

On this day 5 years ago, and I went to in Mission Valley to pick up the engagement ring we picked out TOGETHER…but I told her I wasn’t giving it to her YET.

I then drove us to one of my favorite spots in San Diego to “look at the water”.

I was so nervous and still wasn’t convinced she’d say “yes”. But I finally got the words out and she did. I’m still in disbelief. 😅
