Motherhood has stretched me in ways I expected and in plenty of ways I didn’t. It has changed what matters, how I spend my energy, how I move through the world, and even how I understand myself. But one thing I keep coming back to is this: loving my child deeply should never require me to lose connection with who I am.
I want my child to grow up knowing what it looks like to show up for the people you love, but also what it looks like to care for yourself, protect your energy, honor your dreams, and stay connected to who you are. I don’t think those things compete with Motherhood. I think they make me more present inside of it.
Maybe that’s the kind of Motherhood I’m building now. One where love goes outward, but there is still space for me in the middle of it too. 🤎
