We can now confirm that the Saturday before the grand depart will be a Charity race day with VIP’s in each boat 🚣‍♀️. The race will be around Alcatraz and then into the city for the athletes Dinner!! ☀️ 🇺🇸

It’s been a cracking day checking out all the marinas around San Francisco!! We think we have the start point 😎🇺🇸. Thanks to the largest tidal model in the world!! This has allowed us to pick the marina with perfect precision and given us the best understanding of the currents and tide in the area.

Today is the day we decide on the exact start point here in San Fran!! Wish us luck!! 🇺🇸

For those that have not yet seen losing sight of shore, it’s a pretty amazing documentary!! And a hell of a challenge the took on by rowing from USA 🇺🇸 mainland to Australia 🇦🇺 mainland.
