Despite playing all 18 innings (and reaching base nine times) in Monday's marathon, starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani was on the mound AND hitting leadoff last night in Game 4 of the World Series at Dodger Stadium. Pitching in the postseason for the first time in his career, LA's two-way sensation has made starts in each of the last three rounds, and is hitting .400 with 3 home runs, 5 RBI and 5 runs scored in the Fall Classic. Known for the wide array of pitches in his arsenal, he's pitched brilliantly in the regular season since debuting with the Angels in 2018, going 39-20 with a 3.00 ERA over 100 career starts. 📸: Jean Fruth

Freddie Freeman etched his name in the record books by becoming the first player to hit multiple walk-off home runs in the Fall Classic, after his 18th-inning blast ended an epic marathon and lifted the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 6–5 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 3 of the World Series. Shohei Ohtani’s October brilliance reached new heights -- two home runs, two doubles, and five walks -- becoming the first player in postseason history to reach base safely nine times in a game, the second to record four extra-base hits in a game, and the first with three multi-homer games in a single postseason. In a chess match that saw both managers exhaust their entire bullpens, rookie reliever Will Klein delivered four clutch scoreless innings of one-hit relief to preserve the win and give Los Angeles a 2–1 Series advantage heading into tonight's game at Chavez Ravine. : Jean Fruth
