Sf Bay Sportfishing

Just saw an add on here from a charter boat for halibut, saying $250 per person or $1,200 for the whole boat for 6 people per day !!!
With the cost of Fuel, bait, insurance, dock fees,
Fish & game licensing, Deck hand, Maintance, how can they actually make and profit with prices like that. Just wondering and Asking for a friend. Please enlighten me so I can do the same .

We had a late start this morning leaving the harbor at 6.45am we got to the fishing spot and had a double on the drop, the fish continued to come across the Rail for 30 minutes and we finished up Early.
Back out tomorrow

Todays group didn’t manage to stay healthy in the ocean so we went back inside and fished Halibut, we ended the day with 7 nice flat ones and a seagull 😀
We will be back chasing salmon on Wednesday.

We are expecting some big Salmon to show up along the Marin coast when the season reopens next week, we are taking bookings for the rest of the season. Full boat charter only, no mixing groups of people, no waiting at the dock while the others are late or looking for parking.
Prices are higher this season Due to rising costs of Fuel,Bait,harbor fees and equipment.

A strange looking fish they are, put up a good fight on 15lb test mono line.

Salmon season is coming to an end and the fish are getting bigger. We only have a few dates available until we switch gears and start our winter season in San Pablo bay.

What a day it was today

What a morning of salmon catching it was,
If we were able to net all the fish we hooked we would have been done by 9 am
Big fish fight for their lives and you won’t net all the big ones.
Limits of salmon for our charter and fish for the captain too.
Back out on saturday and Sunday to do it all over again
