As a runner, you spend a lot of time moving from one leg to another, so shouldn’t your training reflect that?
So, what’s the benefit? Single leg exercises help to build stability and correct muscle imbalances.
Weighted heel taps help to strengthen the muscles surrounding your knee and build stability in your ankles.
Single leg RDL’s help to improve your balance, strengthen your ankles, and works your hamstrings.
Curtsy lunges work your inner thigh, outer glute, and improve your balance.
Finally, Bulgarian split squats. Everyone’s enemy, but an amazing exercise! These work your thighs, glutes, hamstrings, and ankles! Changing your body position can change the muscles you work. Need more information about this? Lmk and I’ll make a video on this!
