🏀🏆The New York are one win away from ending a championship drought that has lasted more than 50 years.
After erasing a 29-point deficit in Game 4 and defeating the 107-106, New York now holds a 3-1 lead in the Finals.
But while fans celebrate the comeback, another storyline continues to follow this team.
In 2024, signed a contract extension worth approximately $156.5 million. Had he allowed his existing contract to expire and pursued a later extension opportunity, he could have become eligible for a deal approaching $269 million.
Why does that matter?
