I am so lucky to have been able to sneak away for two days to the beautiful Dorado Andaluz to ride with Pippa Callanan. Alexis and Suzanne were wonderful hosts.

Canário and I are really refining our relationship under the guidance of Pippa and Alexis. I just love him so much. He's a joy to travel with and brings a tremendous work ethic. We are learning together to slow each other down and be more harmonious.

We had a very small and professional group and I really feel like I came away with more ways to be thoughtful about training. Watching other pros work with a huge variety of horses is a godsend.

As always, my cup is filled and I feel that I've leveled up.

How can you express sufficient thanks to a horse who has brought so much joy and learning to so many? My best guess is to let him enjoy retirement while he still has the spark that defines him.

After many years with us Professor Picasso will be kicking up his heels and cavorting about in a big pasture with friends and excellent care. We are very glad he's just a short drive down the road.

Picasso has taught so many riders to not pull on the reins or sit crookedly. He was an amazing communicator of rider faults. 😂 But as soon as you got it he rewarded you instantly and never held a grudge. When everything was right the work was so easy.

I can't thank Katie enough for sharing her cheeky boy with us. Coparenting him has been one of my most rewarding relationships in the horse world. We'll be family forever thanks to him.

ENJOY YOUR RETIREMENT, PICA! We will be down soon with bags of carrots and scratchies - and maybe a trail ride.

New saddle, new knee brace, happy horse and rider. Three months post-injury and I am finally feeling a little normal again.

Big thanks to my equestie bestie and her perfect pony, Noodles, for getting me on a horse for the first time in two longggggg months ❤️

Going to do 6 weeks of PT and see if I can live my life without an ACL. Wish me luck! 🙏

After 9 months of ssslllooowww work and LOTS of turnout Tino is finally looking strong in all three gaits. Would he pass a vet check? Absolutely not. Is he a legend among horses who brings a smile to everyone's face? Absolutely, yes!

What a gift to have another seasoned campaigner in my care*. He is an absolute treasure. ❤️
