The first Samoan Pacific Islander to serve as Board Trustee, past President, Vice President and Clerk to the Jefferson Elementary School District since elected in 2015. During her tenure the district implemented an Ethnic Studies Curriculum, launched Work Force, Housing Development, authored a Climate Justice Resolution, & established an Equity Statement. She also served as California State Superintendent Co-Chair on the Closing the Achievement Gap Initiative. She is the first Samoan Pacific Islander to serve as Commissioner and Past Vice President since 2011 on the San Mateo County Commission on the Status of Women. Serves as a Commissioner on the City of Daly City Personnel Board, & San Mateo County Arts Commission.
Papali’i has led various initiatives for the County. is actively involved in a variety of movements and causes locally, nationally and globally.
