Book review time

Three books I read these last two weeks:

1. Atomic Habits by James Clear: I give it 4.2 out 5. Easy to read and understand and lots of valuable tips for changing habits and habitual behavior.

2. Find Your Why by Simon Sinek: I give it 3.8 out 5. I think the work is valuable and important, but it is not as applicable to everyday life's of most people in my opinion.

3. Book 2 of Wheel of Time On Audible... this is just for fun. Love this series and enjoy listening to this version!

You can't truly call yourself peaceful unless you're capable of great violence. If you're not capable of violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless. Important difference.

It's not about how heavy you lift. It's about how hard you're working!

This is true for life. We let ego get in the way of many activities in life. Trying to look cool or strong or smart, rather than admitting our weaknesses and working to improve them.

Kill your ego. Admit your weaknesses. Then get to work!

So I committed to going to church for the whole week of services for the first week of Lent. It has been fantastic and it is necessary for us to sacrifice for our spirtual health. This was a much need spirtual cleansing for me.

Joel 2:7: "They run like mighty men. They climb the wall like warriors. They each march in his line, and they don't swerve off course."

Let's climb to new heights!

Never Skip Legs Day!

Reason #2 why I posted everyday: I believe if you want to lead, you do not do so through words but actions. Here, I demonstrate my commitment to and hope to lead others to join with me.

Another Great Service. Physical and mental wellness is important, but so it your Spirtual Wellness!

I believe strongly in Muscular Christianity, a philosophy of strength: mental, physical, and spiritual. By developing these strengths, we can become the Soliders and Athletes the Bible calls us to be. God doesn't call for passive servants, He calls for Warriors to take up the cross and combat evil.

Arms Day!

Why post my workouts?

Because I believe in ‘Muscular Christianity’ which is a philosophy that sees moral and religious value in sports, and I argue that Christians could and should promote this.

So I posted to motivated and to show my faith. Your body is a temple for God. To perfect it as much as you can is to honor the Lord. This is one of many reasons I posted. I will write more in the future.

Another Amazing Service. This first week of Lent has truly been amazing. Cleansing for the soul and the spirit.

Working out is important, but recovery is just as important. I spend 20 mins in the Sauna meditating after every workout. Really helps my recovery. Bonus being able to stay focused and relaxed in uncomfortable situations is a great skill to have.
